"HS2 launches £5m fund to create and restore woodlands"

The Development Finance shared the news that "High Speed Two Limited (HS2) has launched a £5m fund that will invest in the creation of new wildlife habitats along the HS2 railway route.

HS2 Woodland Fund will provide seven million new trees and shrubs during the first phase of the railway.

A separate fund has also been set up to help local landowners create new native, broadleaf woodlands and restore existing ancient woodland sites."
