"HS2 will be an integral part of our national rail network"

Transport Minster, Paul Maynard, today spoke about HS2 and how it "will be an integral part of our national rail network".

Mr Maynard's speech goes into detail about the progress of HS2, the case for HS2 and the benefits gained from the project.

He concludes that "the political case for this project has already largely been won. But to win the public case we need people to see what this project will do for our country."
