"M56 junctions will close while new dual carriageway is built"

The Manchester Evening News reported that "on the M56 motorway junctions seven and eight near Altrincham will be closed, as well as junction 19 with the M6 in Cheshire.

Highways England is replacing the A556 between the two motorways with a new dual carriageway between Knutsford and Bowdon.

The £192m project is expected to be open for the first time on Monday, March 6."
