"Plans underway to upgrade M1 Junctions to a smart motorway"

Today the Highways Industry has shared the news that "plans are underway to upgrade the M1 between Junction 23a at Castle Donington and Junction 25 Nottingham/Derby to a smart motorway.

Work is expected to start in early 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2018."
