Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer (Interim)
Location: Central London
Pay: £33.38 per hour (Umbrella)

A Central London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a large Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Reporting (EICR) programme and ensure the successful delivery of remedial works and certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee electrical contractors’ work, ensuring high standards and compliance.
• Produce detailed reports for progress meetings and stakeholders.
• Review Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and agree on remediation works to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Domestic Fire Alarm systems installation, servicing, and certification.
• Manage relationships with external contractors and monitor performance.
• Conduct quality control checks during site visits and provide technical support.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Proven experience in overseeing electrical contractors and managing electrical projects.
• Experience in social housing environments and the associated challenges.
• Strong background in reviewing and approving EICRs and managing remediation works.

Qualifications:

• BS7671 18th Edition (2382)
• Inspection & Testing (2391)
• Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent time-served electrical apprenticeship
