EMS / SCADA Lead Engineer

A Railway-experienced SCADA Lead Engineer is required for a major UK Infrastructure Project to focus on the assurance of multiple SCADA designs for a new railway system. You will be responsible for ensuring that the design packages being developed meet the project's requirements and align with the expectations of the end client.

As requirements evolve, you will engage with various stakeholders and interested parties, ensuring that the designs are managed accordingly and can adapt where necessary. This is an exciting opportunity to take on the lead role in a challenging and high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on design assurance, ensuring that the multiple SCADA systems being developed align with the project’s specifications.
• Lead the engagement and management of stakeholders to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to SCADA system development.
• Provide technical assurance for the EMS and act as the technical lead for key deliverables, including tender evaluations.
• Ensure the development of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) aligns with project expectations, with a preference for GUI expertise over PLC or field aspects.
• Oversee the integration of multiple SCADA systems into a centralized control process, managing technical challenges that arise.
• Work closely with operations and engineering disciplines to develop solutions that consider all relevant systems and sub-systems.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, managing engineering risks and compliance processes.
• Develop and implement best practices and innovative engineering techniques, driving efficiency across the project lifecycle.
