Good Mental Health - all year round
At Critical Project Resourcing, we are passionate about good mental health, all year round. This week is a great opportunity for all of us to remember it's a 365 day activity.
I love anything related to good mental health and the variety that is involved. You can discover something new that could be life changing with regards to your mental health. Perhaps through diet changes, new exercise patterns, new hobbies, a routine change, the list is endless.
That’s why I think it so, so important for us to keep this discussion open, not only on reaching out when things get tough, but talking all the time about the things that are good. The things that make us feel good and help keep us in that positive space.
What are you doing that makes you feel great? Are there any tips you could share – I would love to hear them!
It’s only in the sharing that we realise how connected we are, and the huge power that has.
Thankfully, the stigma around mental health is getting a bit better, but imagine if we could make good mental health the main conversation. As well as reaching out when you’re not ok (which of course is vitally important), why don’t we all talk about the positives more?
“Have you tried that food / activity / film / book / walk / show etc…it made me feel so good! You would love it.”
The constant feed of negative information through various media sources can feel relentless. We all have the tendency to slip on to the negative narrative sometimes, I know I 100% do this, but imagine if we were just as focused on all the positive out there…maybe together we can start a revolution, maybe together we can change the narrative.
For today though, I will be thankful for the opportunity to write this blog, in the hope that it might give someone a reason to say ‘yes’, to that new idea, that new connection or group that will make them feel good.
