We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the Homeless Prevention and Housing Allocation teams within a Local Authority.


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- To ensure policies are followed, manage performance within departments, and lead on housing functions

- Develop policies and procedures to ensure the frontline services are delivered effectively and efficiently

- Manage the housing allocations service to ensure reduced waiting times for accommodation, and improved service delivery

- Budget management

- Build and maintain relationships with internal departments as well as external services such as estate agents and accommodation providers

 
Candidate requirements:

- Experience of managing a team that completes assessments and interviews with customers in need of housing

- An understanding of working within a homeless service from an operational role
